Have One-Way Webbing Slings, One-Way Lifting Loops & One-Way Slings Custom Manufactured

One-way lifting loops are mostly used for loading and unloading cargo. A typical application exists, for example, in the timber industry. The one-way webbing slings are placed around entire tree trunks there. The trunks are then loaded onto the deck of a ship using these loops. During unloading, the crane hooks are attached to the loops again, the trunks are lifted, and the cargo is discharged.

There are also many similar use cases in mechanical engineering, vehicle and aircraft construction, the steel industry, the field of precast concrete parts and building materials, or in other industries. We look forward to your inquiry!

One-Way Lifting Loops Product Selection

The following one-way slings have already been manufactured for customer projects. Please request your desired product from us. In this area, we only deliver larger quantities per order. Since the slings are individually produced, you must also calculate a delivery time of approx. 8 weeks.

What Are One-Way Webbing Slings?

Webbing slings are used for transporting and loading goods. This primarily involves cargo with a high dead weight. However, the use of the straps is not limited to heavy transport goods. They can basically be used as a practical accessory for moving objects.

The main purpose is the professional and safe lifting of the cargo. A resistant lifting strap prevents the loaded objects from slipping or falling down. In this way, it also contributes to occupational safety (e.g., on construction sites or in the industrial sector).

Custom-made lifting straps - ensuring everything can be safely lifted and transported from A to B. Carrying and lifting heavy loads cannot be managed without tools. Accessories are also required for securing loading or transport goods, allowing objects to be moved safely and easily.

Webbing slings or lifting loops consist of very robust and tear-resistant materials that reliably withstand weight loads of several tons. As an alternative to conventional products, one-way lifting loops or one-way webbing slings are available from specialist retailers.

When purchasing, users are faced with an extensive range of straps with different lengths, widths, and load capacities. This wide selection requires professional advice: Which strap is the right choice? What are the differences between the individual products? What needs to be considered during use?

The following information is intended to serve as a guide and provide useful facts about the products.

What Is the Advantage of One-Way Webbing Slings?

The name is self-explanatory: with a one-way webbing sling, multiple use is eliminated. It is used only once to secure cargo and is subsequently disposed of. If the webbing slings are therefore not returned to the sender, significant cost savings result.

The single-use aspect is an additional contribution to safety: multiple use of straps or loops can damage the material over time. In addition to the frequency of use, the weight that rests on the carrying devices plays a role.

One-way straps made of polyester fibers possess high tear resistance. They withstand temperature fluctuations undamaged.

Note: For the counterparts intended for multiple use, color-coded identification is required by law. The load capacity of one-way loops and slings does not need to be identified in this way. The specification 'DIN 60005' does not allow conclusions about the load capacity, but rather about the processing.

What Types of One-Way Webbing Slings Exist?

Belts, straps, and loops - these three designs fall under the category of 'Textile Lifting Technology'. In everyday colloquial language on construction sites, lifting straps and loops are often used as synonyms. However, a distinction must be made between loops and straps.

Synthetic fibers (polyester) are used as materials. Straps with high stability and tear resistance are produced from these synthetic textiles. Despite their resistance, they have a soft texture which does not damage the cargo.

  • Straps are offered for sale in different lengths, widths, and colors
  • At the ends, they can be provided with reinforced loops or be manufactured as a round sling. One-way lifting loops are in most cases manufactured as a round sling
  • In the production of slings, the scrim technology plays an important role. The individual threads of the fabric are woven together crosswise. In this way, the material becomes even more stable and capable of bearing higher loads

Using Lifting Straps - What Needs to Be Considered?

The relevant application instructions are aimed at employees in industry:

  • Before use, the straps should be checked for damage. Porous straps can tear easily and must therefore be replaced to minimize the risk potential
  • A look at the colors makes sense for reusable straps. For one-way products, prior consultation and an individual quote are indispensable
  • Opened loops may have a maximum angle of 20°. Otherwise, the seams can give way under the heavy load
  • Multiple use of one-way straps with a low load capacity is a violation of safety regulations in the workplace. Such webbing slings must be disposed of immediately after use
  • Used one-way slings or straps can be cut with a sharp knife to mark them as used carrying aids. Reusable straps can be cleaned of dirt under running water and used again as an aid at the next opportunity

Buying Lifting Straps - What Needs to Be Considered?

An impulse purchase is not advisable for lifting straps. Instead, you should proceed systematically and carefully when purchasing the products and seek advice from our experts.

  • You can buy standard lifting straps online. One-way webbing slings, on the other hand, always require a prior consultation. One-way lifting slings are also usually so individual in length, composition, and load capacity that the slings are produced individually. To justify this individual production, these products are suitable almost exclusively for industrial bulk buyers
  • Quality and safety have top priority as core values. When purchasing, the choice should always fall on certified products that comply with generally applicable safety standards. If you want to buy slings online, you can inquire about corresponding safety standards in writing or by phone, or ask the provider for information

Conclusion

In addition to practical handling of the products, consumer protection is paramount during manufacturing. Added to this is the generally applicable regulation according to DIN 60005: it is an indicator of quality, transparency, and safety.

When it comes to the question of the appropriate one-way lifting straps, consultation with an expert is recommended. If you wish to purchase one-way slings or one-way webbing slings, you can contact us by phone. We will be happy to assist you in choosing the right product.
